Help send the Georgia Boy Choir on Tour!
A remarkable opportunity awaits the 32 members of The Georgia Boy Choir Concert Choir and Young Men’s Ensemble. For two weeks in June 2012, they will be representing their city, state, and country as Cultural Ambassadors, traveling on a Concert Tour of Scandinavia!
First stop will be Copenhagen, Denmark where we will be hosted by the remarkable Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir of Men and Boys. An overnight ferry will take us to Oslo, Norway where the Choir will give two performances in the Oslo, Cathedral. From there we will head into Sweden performing in three cities: Karlstad, Uppsala, and Stockholm where we will collaborate with the great Stockholms Gosskör.
We'll be singing in the Helsinki Cathedral in Helsinki, Finland
Another ferry will take us to the city of Turku, Finland where we will give a concert before driving on to the capital of Helsinki. A fast boat across the Gulf of Finland will carry us to the Estonian city of Tallinn, home of, “The Singing Revolution,” where we will be privileged to give a concert.
We'll be singing in the Uppsala Cathedral in Uppsala, Sweden
Our final performance in the Land of the Midnight Sun will be in the magnificent Helsinki Cathedral, hosted by the famous choir, Cantores Minores.
Along the way, these 32 gentlemen will have opportunity to visit some remarkable sites and learn a lot about the history and culture of this part of the world, making friends with many of their European singing brothers.

Of course, opportunities like this are an expensive prospect – $4,500 per boy, in fact. The boys are working hard to prepare the music for this tour as well as working to raise the necessary money. But the Choir depends largely on outside assistance in order to fund the tours.
